Here at TopMBA.com we thought we’d make it a little easier for you, so in this new series we’ll be profiling the top schools for every letter of the alphabet, ensuring you know everything you need to about the very best of the 13,000 schools you have to choose from.

So, without further ado, let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. Here are the best business schools starting with the letter A.

Alliance Manchester Business School

Located in Manchester, UK, Alliance Manchester offers top-rated MBA and master’s programs for your consideration. Known as the UK’s top business hub outside of the London capital, Manchester offers opportunities in countless industries, as well as a thriving social scene.

Online MBA

The Manchester Global Part-Time MBA is specifically designed for busy professionals looking to balance their studies with career and personal commitments.

This flexible, blended program combines online MBA combines online MBA teaching with 30 days of teaching spread across six workshop residentials. 

Students study core courses at their home centre and electives can be studied at any of Alliance’s global centres: Dubai, Hong Kong, Manchester, São Paulo, Shanghai and Singapore.

Business Analytics

Earn an MSc in Business Analytics: Operational Research and Risk Analysis in 12 months at Alliance Manchester.

You’ll learn the skills to see processes run smoothly, particularly surrounding the challenges and opportunities which you can expect to encounter as a global business.

At Alliance, you’ll gain vital knowledge and practical skills to become a professional operations, project or supply chain manager in a globalized environment.

Marketing

Similarly, you can earn an MSc in Marketing in just 12 months.

Mandatory subjects on the course include Strategic Marketing & New Venture Development; Marketing & Communications Professional Analytics; and Marketing Management.

You can also choose a specialist pathway to ensure you stand out from the crowd in the job market, including business-to-business; consumer behaviour; international marketing; retailing; and services.

UCLA Anderson School of Management

Brace yourself for some LA sunshine and an outdoor culture at Anderson, with the business school also offering lots of clubs and societies to get involved with. One of the biggest campus clubs is Challenge for Charity, a competition between top West Coast business schools to log the most volunteer hours per student, raising the most money for Special Olympics per student. Now that's a club we could get involved with!

Full-time MBA

Anderson’s MBA program attracts some of the top company recruiters in the US every year, including Google, BCG, and Goldman Sachs. With an alumni network of 39,000, you’ll have plenty of support after you graduate and seek to transition back into the working world.

There are nine core courses available to help you develop solid business foundations, plus specialization options you will choose by winter quarter of your first year.

Executive MBA

In the UCLA Anderson Executive MBA program, there’s a flexible schedule and weekend classes, meaning you will earn your EMBA in just 22 months.

Anderson’s EMBA program boasts a mini board model, ensuring every small student team is represented by experts in accounting/finance, sales/marketing, technology/engineering, military/leadership and entrepreneurship/health care/law.

EMBA students have an average of 14 years’ work experience and nine years in management across 30 industries and 22 functional areas.   

Finance

You can earn your Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) from Anderson in 15 months, during which time you’ll improve your quantitative skills, ensuring you’re able to solve the complex and creative challenges faced by today’s financial markets.

Graduates are well-prepared for careers in a range of sectors including risk management; money management; derivative pricing; private equity; hedge funds; data analytics; and technical operational areas of corporate finance.

The program boasts a 3:1 student-faculty ratio, a 94 percent job placement rate (six months post-graduation) and $100K average salary after graduation.

AGSM @ UNSW

With its HQ in Sydney, visiting and on-campus students can enjoy all of the cultural wonders Australia’s most iconic city has to offer, from opera to surfing. AGSM @ UNSW boasts collaborative education and research partnerships throughout the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Online MBA

The Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) at the University of New South Wales’ Business Online MBA (MBAX) offers global flexibility.

AGSM MBAX allows you to specialize and customize your MBA from four different streams that include six core courses, six specialisation options and at least one capstone course. You can choose to study online or face-to-face, with your course spanning from two to six years.

MBAX’s student profile for the Class of 2018 was 56 percent male, 44 percent female, with an average of 11 years’ work experience. The main industries previous students have come from include: banking & finance; consulting; technology; engineering & telecommunications; government & public services; and pharmaceutical & medical.
